Interested in working in our group?
For Potential Post-docs: A knowledge of both synthetic chemistry AND chemical biology is ideal, but applicants who are especially adept at one of these disciplines and curious about the other are welcome to apply. Post-doctoral applicants will be expected to write an independent research proposal related to projects in the group. Please indicate in your cover letter (pdf format) which funding sources you are eligible for and also a timeline for application. Applications that do not address these points will not be considered.
For Potential PhD Students: As a student in our group you will learn a blend of synthesis, chemical biology, and catalyst development. It is essential that you have an interest in all three areas so that we maintain a cohesive group environment. In your cover letter please discuss your scientific background and why you are interested in our group.
For Potential Master Students: We are always eager to train motivated Master students who have an interest in our research program. For Basel students please email me or stop by my office anytime.
- For other local students (i.e. Swiss schools, Mulhouse, Freiburg, and Strasbourg) please apply to me directly with the name of your university in the email and we can set up a meeting.
- For students from further abroad please discuss in your cover letter why you want to study in our group and how you will fund your visit. As a result of the Bologna regulations we are unable to offer financial support for Master’s studies.
