Background

 

Werner graduated with his Bachelor of Science in chemistry at the University of Basel (Switzerland) in 2017 where he has subsequently started his Master's. As part of his Master's project he joined the McGouran group at Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) for an internship of six months. Since 2019, he is enrolled as a PhD student in our research group and is working in the area of chemical protein silencing.

Master's project: 6 Months internship in Prof. Dr. Joanna McGouran’s group at Trinity College Dublin (Ireland).
Master's thesis: 5’-Oligonucleotide modification for enhanced nuclease binding and stability.
