Background

Marta obtained her Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) in 2014. In 2015 she got her master´s degree in drug discovery from the same university and this same year she joined the BIOHET (Heterocycles of Biological and Therapeutic Interest) research group where she did her Master's thesis. Subsequently she joined the group for her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Jose Carlos Menéndez and Pilar Lopez-Alvarado. During this period, she carried out a predoctoral stay in the group of Professor Dario Neri at ETH (Zürich, Switzerland). In 2020 she successfully completed her PhD with summa cum laude.
