A new group trip, at last

A image of our group trip showing most of the group members in climbing gear.

After a break of two years for reasons, we finally went out again on a group trip. The new group image shows the stark difference between our group from back then now - we doubled in size!

Our group trip started at 9:00 with a stroll of around 2.5 hours from the old Department through Lange Erlen to the Erlebniskletterwald in Lörrach were we spent 2 hours climbing on and sliding off trees. Everyone had a blast, and after a short lunch break we continued our trip and went back to Riehen. We visited a vineyard on the Schlipf hill, the only place in Basel-Stadt where grapes are grown. The beautiful autumn leaves made the perfect background for a wine testing, which was followed up with a small tour through the storage and production facilities in Riehen itself.

Finally, we went back (by Tram, as the constant walking exhausted some of the group members) to Basel and ate dinner together at the Union restaurant.
