A late welcome to our newest PhD candidates, Pedro and Koder.

Pedro, a PhD candidate from Portugal, joined our group already in February, and Koder followed him quickly and came to Switzerland in March - just as the carneval in Basel was cancelled due to COVID-19. While Pedro was already doing some chemical experiments, Koder was starting to prepare - until the Department of Chemistry was shut down completely for COVID-19 concerns.

Luckily, strict working guidelines made it possible for both to return to work a weeks later. Pedro has joined the chemical protein silencing team, while Koder is going to work on DNA encoded libraries.

Good luck for your PhD!
